About this blog

Welcome to Snarky 365, where I am who I am, 7 days a week and 365 days year.

Snarky 365 is my personal development blog, the more whimsical counterpart to The Snarky Optimist. Snarky 365 is where I post work that isn’t relevant to the (more or less) professional focus of The Snarky Optimist, as well as creative writing and updates on my various projects. Basically, I write a lot and this is my overflow space, since I don’t want to spam readers of The Snarky Optimist with my random stuff.

Here is what you can expect to read about on this blog:

  • Reading. I share my thoughts on the books I read as I go through them. I am reading my way through Yann Martel’s What is Stephen Harper Reading? list, and then Time Magazine’s 100 Best English-language novels written after 1923 (in which I’ve already made a significant dent). As well, I will throw in some other books along the way based on recommendations.
  • Writing. I am an occasional creative writer, so every once in a while you will see my poetry, prose, short stories or essays.
  • Movies. I watch a ton of movies, and on occasion I write about them. For the most part I only write about movies I like (that’s not to say I can write about all the movies I like), but if something really cheeses me off you might get a scathing review now and then. Mediocre films need not be mentioned.
  • Links, music, quotes and other fun things. Just because.

Feel free to follow along whichever journeys interest you using the post categories. If you want to read more about how this blog came to be, check out my first post.
